| G8 Security & Home Affairs Ministers' Meeting | Winter Gardens, Sheffield, June 2005. Mpopoma were invited to work with Fir Vale School to produce a short performance for the G8 Reception. We worked with two schools in Thrybergh, Rotherham to produce a short performance in the amzing 'tent' that is Colourscape. We also did a performance of DROP there - and DROP we did - it was stunningly hot! | | Woza! and Drop | Pictures from the performance at the Merlin Theatre in June. Mpopoma premiered their celebration of township life - WOZA! and their high-energy traditional show DROP! to a packed and enthusiastic audience at the Merlin Theatre, Sheffield. | | School Workshops | Throughout the summer we worked in a number of schools in Sheffield, Rotherham, Amber Valley,Derbys. and Cambridge. These workshops developed quality intercultural experiences through dance and music but also gave pupils and the group chances to chat and discuss their cultures with one another. Some workshops led to public performances, but in all of them the children worked hard with lots of energy and particularly the boys showed great enthusiasm.
